“…both predictable, significant, and dumb-foundingly stupid.” Both means two. That’s three things. Ben Brooks, who wants people to pay to read him (although this post was so important he had to break protocol and share it with the proles), cannot count or doesn’t read his own sentences.
Also: “dumb-foundingly stupid” is just such a failure of style, imagination, description. Why bother characterizing something “stupid” as “dumb-founding”? Why, Ben?
He calls his site “The Brooks Review.” He does not review his prose. The whole piece is bad, but how much time can I spend on this? No more than 19 hours each day.
